Three Generations of pride at Carter Toyota!

In 1965 my grandfather was busy selling Nash Ramblers right here in Colville when a factory rep showed up at his door with an unfamiliar vehicle called a "Land Cruiser".  When he invited my grandfather to go for a ride he decided to take him four wheeling up on Colville Mountain.  After spending the afternoon covering some very challenging terrain he realized that this "Land Cruiser" was a special vehicle indeed.

Once they got back to the dealership the factory rep invited my grandfather to put the Land Cruiser up on the rack so he could see first hand the quality of mechanical design that had gone into the vehicle.  My grandfather was familiar with the Jeep JC5 that he had in the shop.  When compared the drive line for the Land Cruiser was dramatically heavier than the Jeep's.  And in those days Jeep's were the premier off road vehicle. 

It was clear to my grandfather that Toyota's Land Cruiser was the quality of vehicle that he wanted be associated with.  That's when we
became Carter Toyota.  Over the years Toyota's mechanical quality and design has continued to be on the leading edge of the auto industry.  When you combine that quality and our small town dealer with a BIG Heart approach it's an unbeatable combination.
